Research Methodology

Completed applications for the 2012 Best Companies for Hourly Workers initiative were collected online from July 15th to October 14th, 2011.

To qualify,a company must have at least 500 U.S. employees, and at least half of its U.S. workforce must be non-exempt.

Winning companies were selected from a pool of self-selected applicant companies and ranked numerically based on the data they provided

in their application.

Statistics reported are aggregated from the data collected from the 12 winning companies.

Winners were selected based on these applications and will be announced in the May 2012 issue of Working Mother magazine and on workingmother.com/bestcompanies.
